As the Curator of Digital Learning at The Henry Ford, I am responsible for developing the onsite and online digital learning tools and experiences for all venues. I received my M.A. in Historical Administration from Eastern Illinois University and a B.A. in history with a minor in City and Regional Planning from Grand Valley State University where I enjoyed creating maps that displayed data with remote sensing and GIS software (ERDAS Imagine, ArcGIS). In my free time, I actively participate in several online gaming communities, often times beta testing upcoming titles. I have a budding interest in 3D printing, especially when coupled with historical artifacts. Although I admit that I don’t do enough of it, I truly enjoy building computers – not only for myself but friends and family. Finally, my friends believe that I have an uncanny ability to recall many late ‘80s-early ‘90s sitcom theme songs like “Growing Pains,” “Saved by the Bell,” and “Family Matters.”
